MISSION STATEMENT/ RUTHERFORD POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Rutherford Police Department is committed to the protection of life and the prevention of crime and disorder. We will emphasize our belief in the philosophy of Community Policing in order to build partnerships with all segments of the community. We will continue to seek proactive approaches along with innovative solutions to address crime and other safety issues in the Borough of Rutherford. Our ultimate goal is to provide a better quality of life for all those we come in contact with, through prompt, professional and courteous service to those we serve. Our Core Values consist of:
