Welcome to Summer!
July is Parks & Recreation month and Rutherford Recreation plans on 31 days of fun! Come celebrate with us and recreate through our many programs! Advocate for your favorite programs.
Join us on Thursday evenings from July 1 through August 26th for our Summer Concert Series! Back by popular demand, “The Kootz” kicks off the series on July 1 st. Concerts begin at 8 p.m. make a night of it by “Dining Under The Stars” at one of the many great Rutherford restaurants!
Bring your beautiful babies (5 years old is the top age) for our Baby Parade on July 4th. Registration is at 9:30 a.m. and the parade kicks off promptly at 10 a.m. U.S. Savings bonds will be awarded to the top contestants. Keep the older children occupied with the Sidewalk Chalk Contest sponsored by the Junior Women’s Club.
If you love softball, you are in luck because the teams are in full swing! The men’s, ladies’ and girls recreational travel teams are on the diamonds at Memorial Field. So take in a game and root for your favorite team! If you prefer volleyball, the co-ed volleyball teams are serving up excitement on Tuesday and Thursday nights at Memorial Field.
Summer Day Camp is providing a “perfect 10” experience for 300 campers from pre-K 4 through 8 th graders at Union School, Tamblyn Civic Center, and Memorial Park.
Join Rutherford Recreation this July whether it is for fun in the sun or under the stars!

 New Program!! Give me a C*H*E*E*R! Rutherford Recreation's newest program is a competitive cheering program for students in grades 3 through 12. Evaluations and practices start in September. Contact the Recreation office at 201-460-3015 to register.
The Rutherford Recreation Code of Conduct Forms may be picked up and signed at the Recreation Department.
