On December 1, 2001 a new car seat law went into effect. Under the new law children up to 8 years old & under 80 pounds must be restrained in your car in a car seat or booster seat. Also all passengers under 18 years of age must wear a seat belt, including passengers in the rear seat.
It is estimated that at least 4 out of 5 car seats are installed incorrectly, how about yours?
The Rutherford Police Department now has 2 officers that are Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians.
