The Borough Administrator is responsible for the coordination of interdepartmental activities and management of the day-to-day operations of the Borough. He is a liaison between the Mayor and Council and the various municipal boards and departments of the Borough and its professional advisors. He reports to the Mayor and Council and conducts such studies and investigations as assigned to him or otherwise within his jurisdiction.
The Administrator has the authority to recommend personnel policies, appointments and disciplinary action to the governing body, is responsible for overall supervision and maintenance of all real property owned by the Borough and continually reviews and supervises the Borough's insurance program. He is responsible for the yearly preparation of the Borough's operating and capital budgets.
The Recycling Coordinator is responsible for creation and operation of a viable recycling program under the direction of the Mayor and Council. His duties include monitoring the operation of the program, preparing reports on its activities and the submission of recycling grant applications to the state and county in a timely fashion.
