The Municipal Court is responsible for processing criminal and traffic complaints issued within the town's jurisdiction. We are located at 176 Park Ave., Rutherford, NJ 07070 and can be contacted at 201-460-3030. Court session are held every Tuesday at 2:00 PM, and the violation bureau is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to answer question and accept payments for parking and traffic summones.
INFORMATION CONCERNING OVERPAYMENT
Information obtained through the internet concerning overpayment of traffic fine is incorrect.
The Division of Motor Vehicles is notified immediately upon receipt of payment, regardless of whether the fine is overpaid.
"NOT CASHING THE REFUND CHECK HAS NO EFFECT ON THE POINTS ASSESSED."

FROM RT 3 WEST
Take Park Ave. exit, go straight to second stop sign, make right, go approximately ½ mile to 176 Park Ave. building on left.
FROM RT 3 EAST
Take Park Ave. exit, at stop sign turn left. At light make left. Go about 1/2 of a mile to 176 Park Ave. building on left.
FROM RT. 17 SOUTH
Take Meadow Rd. exit, quick left, first right, take Highland Cross to end, Municipal Court is across the street.
