We provide historic perspectives on borough activities such as:
- Rutherford Downtown Partnership Streetscape Enhancements
- Nomination and Registration of town wide historic assets for National and State Historic registries
- Impact on historic assets affected by public and private development
- Formulation of Borough ordinances and Master Plan review
- Liaison with non borough historic partners such as Federal, State of NJ, Bergen County and other national and local historic preservation organizations.
Current projects include:
Rutherford Houses of Worship Lecture Series: An ongoing educational series of public meetings celebrating Rutherford's historic houses of worship
Public Education and Historic Publications: We review historic surveys and aid in reference materials pertaining to all of Rutherford's historic assets. We are currently reviewing the 1981 Bergen County Historic Sites Survey.
