Dear friend,
We would like to make you aware of a new program, through "Boiling Springs Savings Bank", that is called the Community Alliance Program. This program was designed as a way for Boiling Springs to support organizations such as the Rutherford Food Pantry. We already have an account with Boiling Springs and we have signed up to be a part of this program. If you have an account with Boiling Springs, you can contact the bank and tell them that you would like to participate in this program. IT DOES NOT COST YOU ANY MONEY.
Once we have twenty people signed up designating the Rutherford Food Pantry as their charity of choice, the bank will track the average daily balances of the designated accounts. The bank will then use those amounts to determine the amount of a quarterly donation to the food pantry. The donation comes from the bank, not from you - you do not pay any money towards the donation.
If you bank with Boiling Springs, or would like to open a new account with the bank, all you have to do is tell the bank that you would like to participate in their Community Alliance Program and that you would like to designate the Rutherford Food Pantry as your charity of choice. If you have more than one account, you can either designate all of your accounts to us, or if you wish to support another charity, you can designate one account to each charity. Eligible accounts include bank CD's, IRA accounts, checking accounts, savings accounts, and money market accounts. The amount of the bank's donation is based on ¼% on CD's, including IRA CD's and all premium accounts and ½% on checking, savings, and money market savings accounts.
The form to fill out is only ½ page long and we have enclosed one for your convenience. You just need to put your name, address, and account numbers, along with the pantry's name and our Community Alliance Program number which is 004. The pantry will never know who signs up or the amount in any of the accounts that do sign up. Only the bank will have that information. Again, the money for the donation comes from the bank and this does not cost you any money.
Please help us and sign up today. We truly appreciate your support.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Gerard DeMatteo, Pantry Board President, at 201-933-1225.
Donations
Donations of food or personal hygiene items may be dropped off at the Pantry during the hours of operation. For larger donations, please call the Pantry to arrange a drop-off time. We also gratefully accept tax-deductible monetary donations payable to Rutherford Community Pantry, Inc. and they may be sent to the above address.
Present Needs
Each month a needs list is compiled which indicates what is most urgently needed at the pantry.
The Rutherford Community Pantry is a joint effort of community faith congregations, organizations, and concerned citizens. We appreciate and need your support.
