Downtowner Bus
The Downtowner Bus Service is offered FREE to all residents. Children should be accompanied by an adult. The bus operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:58 p.m. and travels two loops throughout the borough (schedule is shown below). For a daily update, call 460-3000 x3755 for a recorded message. No service Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

 Jitney Bus Service
The Borough in partnership with Meadowlink, a regional transportation brokerage agency, will be instituting a reverse jitney bus service this spring. Funded by the New Jersey Department of Transportation, the service will operate in the a.m. and p.m. between the Rutherford Railroad Station, the Federal Reserve Bank (E. Rutherford) and the Meadowlands Office Complex to take employees to and from the mass transit facility.

In addition, the service will offer mid-day buses between these employment locations and the Rutherford downtown to minimize vehicle trips and assist local restaurants and businesses.
